“Every one of a hundred thousand cities around the world had its own special sunset and it was worth going there, just once, if only to see the sun go down.”
– Ryu Murakami –
We’ve seen many sunsets on different parts of the world. There were many that we didn’t manage to capture on our camera, but here are some of our favorite that we did:
10. Gran Canaria, Spain
9. Gili Trawangan, Indonesia
5. Airlie beach, Queensland, Australia
3. Boracay island, Philippines
Oh, the famous Boracay sunsets. Watching numerous paraws set sail with a drink in your hand leaves you speechelss.
2. Kornati National park, Croatia
Watching a sunset on a boat was always one of our favourite ways to enjoy a cruise. Kornati surprises us every time…
1. Somewhere around Bowen, Queensland, Australia
We were driving towards Bowen, desperatly trying to get there before dark, so we could find ourselves a place to spend the night, when we just had to stop for a few minutes to enjoy this spectacular scenery:
I’m such a sucker for sunsets. The sunsets on the Gili Islands were just amazing, with those colors and Bali’s volcanoes in the background. Although Boracay was also amazing. Great photos 🙂 They’re making me miss being at the beach!

Thanks. Maruša also voted for the second one as the best sunset, but Australia won. Although it was a tough call. 🙂

Lovely photos! It takes a great skill to photograph a sunset and not end up with a cliché of a photo!
